HDPE and PPR pipes

HDPE pipe is a flexible plastic pipe used for fluid and gas transfer and is often used to replace aging concrete or steel mains pipelines. Made from thermoplastic HDPE (high-density polyethylene), its high impermeability and strong molecular bond make it suitable for high-pressure pipelines. We recommend Buttfusion and Electrofusion joints to install HDPE pipes. Depending on your site conditions and the length of the project, we will suggest one or another joining method.

PPR pipe is made from Polypropylene Random Copolymer plastic. They are commonly in green or white color, and outer diameter sizes ranging from 20mm to 125mm make the pipe walls far thicker than PVC. In addition, the thermal conductivity of PPR is very low, meaning temperature cannot be conducted from the outside environment to the liquid in the pipe and vice versa. This factor reduces temperature loss while transferring hot or cold fluids, resulting in energy-efficient systems and lower insulation costs for PPR piping. Buttfusions and Socket fusion are the most usual methods to joint PPR pipes.
